Energy merger

A merger between Ishavskraft AS and Troms Kraft Marked, creates the largest energy company in northern Norway. The company, which will be called Ishavskraft, has Finnish energy major Fortum Markets as one of it’s co-owners.

Location

In addition to Ishavskraft and Troms Kraft Marked, also Repvåg Kraftlag, Alta Kraftlag and Luostejok Kraftlag are part of the merger. The Finnish energy major, Fortum Markets OY is also part of the investors in the new energy company.

The company writes in a press release (in Norwegian) that they have a vision to become leading within renewable energy resources. The company will have around 80 000 household customers and 12 000 businesses and public sector customers. Annual turnover will be around 200 million EUR.
