A group of State Duma representatives is planning to introduce the term ”aggressor state” in Russian legislation. On the ”aggressor state”-list will be all ”the countries which adopt sanctions against the Russian Federation, its citizens and legal bodies”, newspaper Izvestia reports.

According to United Russia representative Yevgeny Fyodorov, one of the authors of the bill, all foreign auditor and consulting companies will be hit by the new regulations. ”Any person or legal body registered in an aggressor state, and any Russian affiliated with such a body, will be prohibited from conducting audits and offering consulting services in Russia”, he says to the newspaper.

It will be up to the Russian government to decide which companies will be hit by the law. However, Fyodorov underlines that the U.S. companies Deloitte, KPMG, Ernst & Young, PwC, Boston Consulting Group and McKinsey all soon will be banned from Russia.

According to the Duma politicians, the new list of ”aggressors” will be composed in order to ”protect the Russian constitutional system, strengthen national security and defence, protect the domestic market and develop national economy”.
