Eni is the operator with 40 percent, while RWE Dea, Det norske and Lundin Petroleum all have a 20 percent stake in the license.
Drilling at the field started in August and Det norske says in a press-update “the drilling operations in the reservoir section are still at an initial phase and the final results are thus not yet available.”
The Salina prospect is located in the western part of the Norwegian sector of the Barents Sea. The drilling at the field is done by the “Scarabeo 8” rig, infamous for a getting a 5.7° loopside earlier this week. All 140 crew onboard were ready to evacuate before the rig was stabilized, as reported by BarentsObserver.
