More comfortable border-crossing

The BorisGleb checkpoint on Russia-Norwegian border
Borisoglebsk border check-point has limited capacity and will be replaced by brand new facilities.

The Russian Border Agency (Rosgranitsa) wants to facilitate cross-border travelling with the development of service infrastructure, accommodation and places to eat near the border checkpoints.

Location

The agency wants to make border-crossing more “civilized” with the development of special “logistical depots” in the areas of the border checkpoints, Prime-Tass reports. The depots, which are to be developed with money from commercial interests, are to include bank, post and Internet services, various technical assistance, accommodation, as well as places to eat. Today, business activities in the border areas are strongly restricted because of Russian border zone regulations.
