Nuclear talks

The joint Russian-Norwegian commission on nuclear safety will make its second attempt this autum to meet in Murmansk.

Location

The commission was originally supposed to hold its annual meeting in Murmansk on September 2nd, but the meeting did not take place.

Now, the meeting between the representatives from the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Russia’s Rosatom will be arranged in Murmansk on October 3rd and 4th, reports the web-portal of the Norwegian government.

One day will be for meeting itself, while the commission will spend the second day visiting the Andreeva Bay nuclear waste storage facility.

From the Norwegian side, the commission will be headed by state secretary Erik Lahnstein.
