The coastguard inspected the vessel on Tuesday this week and reported their suspicions to the Governor at Svalbard, which is the nearest police authority. The Governor of Svalbard sent a helicopter with police officers to the vessel on Wednesday to interrogate the captain, reports Svalbardposten.
The coastguard holds the vessel until the Governor of Svalbard decides about possible prosecution.
