Jens Stoltenberg will be next NATO Secretary General, reports Aftenposten, citing sources very close to the process. According to the newspaper, Stoltenberg’s candidature is supported by the United States, British Prime Minister David Cameron and French President Francois Hollande.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel was the first to propose Stoltenberg as candidate.

Jens Stoltenberg himself refuses to comment, apart from saying to several Norwegian media “It is always nice to be mentioned.”
