According to the latest income-tax return, one person in Murmansk reports having had an income of more than one billion rubles (app. €24,5 million) in 2011.
According to the Federal Tax Service, 17 persons reported having incomes of more than 100 million rubles (app. €2,45 million) and 101 persons earned more than 10 million rubles. This is four persons more than in the previous tax return campaign.
August 9th, the Barents Region celebrated the UN International Day of the World’s Indigenous Peoples. The day was commemorated in several parts of the region, including Karasjok in Northern Norway and Teriberka in Northwestern Russia.
