The trawler was inspected on Wednesday by the Coast Guard vessel “KV Svalbard” in the fisheries protection zone around Svalbard, in the waters between Spitsbergen and the Bear Island.
The inspectors found reasons to believe the trawler had been dumping fish at sea. Therefore it was decided to bring the trawler to harbour in Tromsø on the Norwegian mainland where the police will take over the investigation.
