The nationwide survey is done by the Levada Centre in Moscow in January this year and includes questions about the expectations for 2009 among average Russians.
Answering to the question about the possibility of an armed conflict with a neighbouring country eight percent answered definitely no and 36 percent answered probably no. The remaining 28 percent answered “don’t know.”
Established in 2002 the Levada centre is one of Russia’s largest full-service agencies carrying out public opinion within the topics sociology, economy, psychology, and marketing.
