Location

-This is good for Norrbotten, but also for Sweden as a mining nation, Minister of Industry Maud Olofssen says in a government press release. The new mining is expected to give a major number of new jobs in the area, located in Swedish Lapland near the border to Finland.

The government decided to turn down a complaint against the project.

The Tapuli mine is an advanced project with magnetite resources located five km from the Stora Sahavaara magnetite deposit in Norrbotten District, the Northland Resources AB writes on its website.
