The Pikene på Broen Company, which organize the Barents Spektakel, has counted the visitors of all activities at the festival, and concluded that there have been more than 10.000 visitors in total. During the festival the visitors have had the opportunity to visit concerts, theatre performances, debates, shows, several conferences and a lot of other events.
− There could have been much more visitors, but the hotel capacity in Kirkenes limits the number of visitors from outside Kirkenes, says Inger Blix Kvammen in Pikene på Broen to local newspaper Sør-Varanger Avis.
Several national and foreign newspapers and TV-channels have also reported from the festival, and brought publicity about the festival far beyond the borders of the Barents Region. Pikene på Broen says that there of course will be a new festival in 2010.
