Deputy PM demands new Murmansk port

Russian Deputy Prime Minister Sergey Ivanov sees no point in upgrading the old port on the eastern side of the Kola Bay. He says a brand new port will have to be built on the western side of the bay.

According to Portnews.ru, Mr Ivanov says the current state of the Murmansk Port is depressing. -All of it has outlived its functions, we have to move away from this, he highlighted during the recent session in the government Marine Board. He added that he sees no point in investing in the upgrade of the current port.
