Moscow to help Russian companies invest abroad

The government will support Russian companies to get established abroad, Russia’s new Prime Minister Vladimir Putin said to the State Duma yesterday.


-We encourage and will continue to encourage […] the investment activities of our companies abroad, because we consider this an additional step towards the integration of Russia in the world economy, Putin said in front of the members of the State Duma. –This means access to new technology and the management standards, he added.

Vladimir Putin spoke to the Dume in connection with the approval of him as the country’s new prime minister.

In his speech, Mr. Putin also underlined that foreign investments in Russia are ten times higher than Russian investments abroad. –Therefore, outcries such as “the Russians are coming” has no basis in reality, he stressed, Oilru.com reports.
