President Dmitry Medvedev has initiated an anti-alcohol campaign, suggesting that vodka should not cost less than 89 rubles (app 2 euro) for half a liter. The price rise will come into force from January 1. 2010, Murman TV reports.
Murmansk Oblast recently introduced regional limitations on sale of alcohol, making it illegal to sell hard liquors during the night.
