Gazprom helicopter made emergency landing

13 people were injured when a helicopter owned by Gazpromavia made an unsuccessful emergency landing near Vorkuta Saturday.

Location

The Mi-171 helicopter was flying from Bovanenkovo gas field on the Yamal Peninsula when it made the emergency landing some four kilometers from the airport in Vorkuta in the Komi Republic, reports RIA Novosti.

25 people were aboard, 22 passengers and three crewmembers. The 13 people injured had been hospitalized. RIA Novosti reports that investigators will hold a probe into the incident. 

Gazpromavia is one of the ten biggest airlines in Russia.  The company operates 140 aircraft, including 34 aircrafts and 106 helicopters.
