The icebreaker will pick up the scientist in the port of Kirkenes, TV Murman reports. For three week the scientists from Russia, Norway, Canada and Germany will be studying the waters and sea floor around Spitsbergen, the Kara Sea and the Barents Sea.
The aim of the expedition is to gain information on climate changes in the Arctic.
