The company, which is based on the Gazprom Dobycha Krasnoyarsk, will be Gazprom’s specialized exploration unit both on land and offshore. The new unit will help the company concentrate its efforts in new exploration regions with tough geographic and climatic conditions, among them in Yamal and on the Arctic shelf, a press release from the company reads.
The new unit will be headed by Mikhail Sirotkin.
Over a number of years, Gazprom has successfully matched production volumes with new gas discoveries, Oilru.com reports.
