Meadow Warm climate change study

A plot of land heated by 3 degrees Celsius for the Meadow Warm experiment. -
The controls have fake lights in place so that the sun shadow is the same on the plots. -
Heat coming from the lamps is able to keep the temperature of the plot even. -

An array of cables run from the plots of land to a cabin housing the control center. -
The cabin on the Meadow Warm site contains an array of electronic sensors and fuses. -
Intern Victor Laratte uses a moisture sensor to measure the percentage of moisture in the soil. -
Pipes buried 10 and 20cm deep are used to obtain samples of the air in the soil which give clues about microbial activity. -
A syringe on top of an enclosure provides a way to capture the gases coming off the meadow. -
Victor Laratte measures the pH of samples of soil from the site. -
Laratte analyzes samples of soil from the site.
