Foreign trade dropped sharply

Russian foreign trade in the first six months of the year dropped 45,4 percent year-on-year, figures from the country’s customs service show.

The Russian foreign trade turnover in the first half of the year totaled 196.3 billion USD, Oilru.com reports with reference to Finmarket. The country’s exports shrunk to 124.6 billion USD, a drop of 46,9 percent, while imports amounted to 71.7 billion USD (minus 42,6%). Germany remains the biggest trade partner to Russia with a turnover of 16.7 billion USD followed by China (16.2 billion USD) and Holland (15.6 billion USD)
