The average size of salmons from Norwegian fish farms has been small this year. That is partly due to the fact that the beneficial price level on salmon has tempted many producers to sell even if the fish size has been small. Now they running out of salmon.
According to website e24.no the northern Norwegian fish farming association, Nordlaks, believes most producers now will wait until the salmon grows larger before they sell their products. This has made the price level increase with almost 1 EUR.
The optimism in the salmon industry due to rising price levels, has also brought the stock value of the Norwegian fish farming companies upwards, e24 reports
