The 200 million NOK will be among the government’s new initiatives in the region, newspaper Nordlys reports with reference to ANB. The money is to be spent mainly within marine industries, energy, tourism, mineral industries, tele-medicine and space technology, the newspaper writes. Small and medium-sized companies will get a major part of the programme money. The new programme be presented by Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg in tomorrow’s press conference in Tromsø. Together with four cabinet minister, the premier will then launch the next stage in the government High North policy.
