Peter Petrov was arrested after days of fishing inside the Norwegian economical zone near Loppa, western Finnmark without reporting its activities to the Norwegian authorities, writes FiskeribladetFiskaren.
Peter Petrov belongs to Murmansk Trawler Fleet. It is not yet clear how much fish the trawler has catch. The Murmansk trawler is the first to be arrested by the Norwegian Coast Guard in 2009.
According to the Coast Guards annual overview, a total of 46 vessels were arrested or reported in 2008. The total number of inspections of vessels along the Norwegian Coast were 1755 last year.
