Nord-Stream contract for Rolls-Royce

Rolls-Royce

The Rolls-Royce company has won a contract on the delivery of gas pumping units to the Nord-Stream project.

Location

In line with the contract, Rolls-Royce will supply within 2010 six pumping units with 50 MW in capacity and two units with 27 MW in capacity to the Portovaya compressor station of the Nord Stream gas trunkline, a press release from Gazprom reads.

No Russian company produces 50 MW pumping units and could therefore not compete with Rolls-Royce, the gas company says.

From before, Rolls-Royce has a Gazprom contract in the Shtokman project in the Barents Sea.
