According to newspaper Korabelnaya Storona, the incident is the first of its kind in Murmansk. Previously, similar cases have taken place in the Russian Far East. The trawler “Sever” had been fishing in the Barents Sea and was unloading catch in the Murmansk Fish Port, when border guards and the local police got suspicions about catch irregularities. However, the captain was quicker than the inspectors. Before the control, the vessel had been sunken, the Korabelnaya Storona writes.
