Mr. Akatiev comes from the post as adviser to the general director of Norilsk Nickel subsidiary Kolskaya GMK, as well as the leaders of the companies “Teploenergoservis” and “Artik Energo”. According to Murman.ru, he has successfully helped implement reforms in the housing sectors in the Pechenga rayon and Monchegorsk, as well as contributed to the transformation of local energy production from black oil (mazut) to coal. The appointment comes as the Murmansk administration is about to reorganise government structures with the establishment of ministries.
