Mr. Aleksandr Shokhin, president of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Business says to RIA Novosti that Anatoly Chubais has been requested to establish a non-commercial partnership, which is to help Russian business prepare for a new basis treaty between Russian and the EU. -A major responsibility now rests on Chubais – he will work with the elaboration of a new agreement between Russia and the EU, this will be his main assignment, Mr. Shokhin says. The establishment of the partnership will take place in the near future, he adds. Anatoly Chubais has been a powerful politician and businessman since the early 1990s.
