Barents Sea to be scanned for hydrocarbons

The company EMGS intends to conduct electromagnetic scanning of more than 3000 square kilometres of the Barents Sea. The studies will make the oil companies more precise knowledge about resources in the area, the company says.

According to Offshore.no, the measurements are to be conducted ahead of the 20th license round and will provide the clients of the EMGS with a competitive advantage in their bids for the best blocks.
