Location

To everyone who wants to be an observer at the 4th March Presidential elections,” an announcement published in the Youth Human Rights newspaper starts.

By establishing a local Golos unit in Murmansk, the initiators will get a powerful tool to keep track of the upcoming election. Golos, the election watchdog, was instrumental in reporting about violations in the December State Duma elections, and together with Gazeta.ru developed the online Map of Violations.

The Murmansk observers will be part of Golos’ monitoring programme.

Teams of two observers will visit about eight polling stations and keep a close eye on procedures.
