The Russian State Duma today adopted legislation, which will make it easier for foreigners with close relatives in the country to get a visa. A written confirmation from spouse or parents is all that is needed for a visa to be issued, newspaper Rossiiskaya Gazeta reports. State Duma deputy and author of the new law, Vladimir Pligin, confirms that the former visa regime for the foreign family members had spurred a big number of complaints.
