Governor Dmitry Dmitriyenko on 29 March signed the resignation of Mr. Makarov, MBnews.ru reports. His replacement has not yet been appointed. Makarov has been one of two first deputy governors since Dmitry Dmitriyenko took over the governor’s post in Murmansk last spring. Sergey Smityushenko is the other first deputy governor.
