Location

Russians traveled abroad 22.6 percent less in the first half of the year, compared with the same period of 2008, Irina Tyurina, a spokeswoman for the Russian Tourism Industry Union, told the Moscow Times. The only positive exception was Israel, where Russians travelled 36 percent more than last year. That increase is seen in connection with the newly established visa-free travel between the two countries.
