High technology to help education in Arkhangelsk

Arkhangelsk hosts an international scientific conference on information technology and education.

Location

Around two hundred participants from Russia, Belorussia, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan will attend the conference “Informalization as an orientation and strategic resource of education”, which will be held in Arkhangelsk.

As Mathematics professor Raisa Ovchinnikova at the Northern Arctic Federal University explained to IA “Dvina-Inform” the Institute of mathematics and IT got financial support for the conference organization from the Russian Fund of fundamental studies.

The conference will continue for four days and will include both cultural and scientific events: plenary sessions, topical sections, open lessons, round tables, master-classes, museum excursions and visiting one of the concerts of the Northern Russian Folk choir.

At the end of the conference conclusions will be made and all the participants will visit a bone-carving factory, which is located in the small village where the famous Russian Pomor Mikhail Lomonosov was born.
