Number of Russian Christmas tourists to Finland plummets

Some 75,500 accommodation nights for Russians were registered in the past December.

Russian tourism to Finland is down by over 50 percent, according to recent figures from Statistics Finland.

Nights spent in Finland by foreigners fell by nearly ten percent. In December, around half a million accommodation nights were registered, according to a fresh Statistics Finland release.

Out of all nationalities, British people spent most nights in Finland. With 136,000 nights, their stays in the country were up by around 5.5 percent on the previous year.
