The base is planned built by year 2015, company representative Pyotr Kladiev said at a recent seminar in Sankt Petersburg. It will be built for supplies primarily to the Prirazlomnoye and Dolginskoye fields, as well as the Shtokman project, Portnews.ru reports.
The base will be located partly on the eastern shore, partly on the western shore of the Kola Bay. It will have an annual turnover capacity of 2,5 million tons of goods. Gazflot from before operates a base in the area.
The company admits that project implementation “depends on implementation of the three projects”, some. As previously reported, all the projects are far behind their original time schedules. While production at the Prirazlonoye project has been postponed for another year, the Shtokman project has been put aside indefinitely. The Dolginskoye project in the Pechora Sea was originally to be developed from year 2016, but is now planned only from 2020.
Several industrial companies currently consider new facilities on the western shore of the Kola Bay, an area, which is soon to be connected to the Russian railway grid with a new line.
