Representatives from 15 major Finnish companies will accompany Väyrynen when he arrives in Arkhangelsk on Tuesday for a two day visit to the biggest city in the Barents Region.
The objective of the export promotion visit is to promote the co-operation opportunities of Finnish companies in energy, environmental, logistics, infrastructure and maritime industry projects in northern regions of Russia, the Finnish Government writes in a press-release.
During his visit, Minister Väyrynen will meet the Governor of the Arkhangelsk Oblast and get acquainted with regional industry and its representatives. He will also visit Severodvinsk where he will meet the mayor. In addition, the Minister will get acquainted with the local shipbuilding industry.
