50,8 million Russians were using the Internet in September, thus preceding Germany, which has been Europe’s No 1 Internet user for a long time. 50,1 million Germans used the Internet in September, Vedomosti reports, citing the research company Comscore.

The other countries in the top-5 rating are France, United Kingdom and Italy.
The British are the people that spends most time on the Internet, with an average of 35.6 hours in September. Russians spent 22.4 hours.
The web site that Russians spend most time on is the social network Vkontakte, where Russian Internet users spent an average of 7.1 hours in September.
