According to E24.no, Norwegian companies have the last year cut consumption with 28 percent, following reduced demands and activities. That has given a power surplus in the country. Consumption has dropped steadily the whole year. However in June, the consumption reached a record-low on record, figures from Statistics Norway show. It is first of all the world financial crisis and subsequent lower demands which has resulted in the lower output in Norwegian power-demanding industry. Industry normally accounts for 25-30 percent of Norwegian power consumption, e24.no reports.
