The new department is established in order to activate the regional government bodies in the field of mass communication, a press release from the regional administration reads.
Mr. Treskin is know from his work within the field of media and communications in Arkhangelsk. He has also been an outspoken analyst on political processes in the region. He will now work with the new regional leader in Nenets AO, Igor Fyodorov.
Among the first top priorities of Mr. Treskin is making the Internet quicker, cheaper and more available in the region, he says in the press release.
