Russian growth scenarios

The Russian Ministry of Economic Development believes the Russian economy in 2010 will grow 1 percent, in 2011 – 2,6 percent and in 2012 – 3,8 percent. However, that is the most optimistic scenario.

Location

The more conservative scenario includes a 2010 growth of 0,1 percent, then a 1,5 percent growth in 2011 and a 3,2 percent growth in 2012, newspaper Vedomosti reports. The Ministry of Economic Development uses the most optimistic of the scenarios. However, that requires a fulfillment of the national investments programmes and continued high domestic consumer demands, Vedomosti writes.
