Twenty-nine Foreign Ministers of the NATO-Russia Council, gathered on the Greek island of Corfu on Saturday.
This was the first NATO-Russia Council meeting at ministerial level since the armed conflict between Georgia and Russia started in August last year.
The Ministers reviewed the current state of relations and discussed the way forward for the Council. NATO’s Secretary General said after the meeting: - Now we are back in gear.
The Ministers also agreed to open the door for renewing military cooperation in the framework of the NATO-Russia Council, NATO reports at their website.
