Minister Kudrin told newspaper Vedomosti during the St.Petersburg Economic Forum that Russia this year might have a 10 percent budget deficit. That is two percent more than predicted only few weeks ago. In 2010, the budget deficit will amount to six percent, the minister added. That will force Russia to use its remaining reserve funds, as well as to acquire a 10 billion USD credit, Kudrin maintained to the newspaper. The budget deficit outlined by Kudrin implies a 15 percent drop in Russian GDP, Vedomosti concludes.
