We are running with full production capacity, General Director Vladimir Strzhalkovsky told RIA Novosti. He underlined that the company has profits despite the economic crisis, and that no major staff cuts have been necessary. The company leader maintains that Norilsk Nickel is in a better situation than competitors and partners because of the company’s unique mining basis which allows for low production costs. Norilsk Nickel is the biggest nickel producer in the world. The company has a major part of its production facilities in the Kola Peninsula.
