The trawler had several hundred tons of capelin on board, newspaper Bladet Vesterålen reports. The vessel had not permission for capelin catch in Norwegian waters. The ”Porfii Chanchibadze” is the fourth Russian fishing vessel detained by the Norwegian Coast Guard the last month. As BarentsObserver reported, the trawler ”Proyekt” was detained on 10 March.
