Murmanshelf joined Russian petroleum union

The Murmanshelf petroleum supply association has become member of the Russian Oil and Gas Union.

Location

The Murmansk-based association, which was established in 2006 by the Murmansk regional administration together with Norwegian energy major StatoilHydro, will with membership in the Russian Oil and Gas Union have access to a network of more than 150 Russian petroleum companies.

According to MBnews.ru, the Murmanshelf association formally became member of the union in late January.

The Union of Oil & Gas Producers of Russia is a non- commercial organization which was founded to protect and represent corporate interests in executive and legislative authorities both domestically and abroad as well as to influence upon decision-making processes in the field of economy and domestic and foreign politics when these decisions would affect interests of the oil & gas industry, the Union website informs.

The Murmansshelf association now includes more than 170 supply companies in Murmansk Oblast.
