Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee Aleksey Miller and StatoilHydro CEO Helge Lund met yesterday in Moscow to discuss current issues with regard to implementing the first phase of the the Shtokman project and further cooperation between the two energy giants.
A press release from Gazprom states that the parts are pleased with the work of the special purpose company Shtokman Development AG and the front-end engineering design (FEED) and feasibility study for the project. StatoilHydro’s final investment decision is expected to take place in the second half of 2009 or beginning of 2010. According to plans, field production is to start in 2013.
