In northern Norway more than 146 fishermen has been approved as fish consultants onboard the seismology vessels, according to Norwegian newspaper Fiskeribladet Fiskaren.
The demands to be approved for this position are among other things to have worked as a fisher for at least 12 months during the last five years. The fish consultant must also have thorough knowledge about the area where they are operating.
High salary, favourable shift agreements and good general working conditions are important factors for fishermen who decide to change job.
