The new mayor of Naryan-Mar

Yuri Rodionovsky has been elected new city mayor of Naryan-Mar, the capital of the far northern Nenets Autonomous Okrug.

Location

Yuri Rodionovsky won the city elections with 36,49 percent of the votes casted. The election turnout was 36,71 percent. Mr. Rodionovsky has also earlier served as mayor Naryan-Mar Olga Starostina, Head of the city Finance Department, won the second place with 27,78 percent of the votes, while Tatiana Fyodorova, a city official, became number three with 18,26 percent. The mayor’s elections were held after former mayor Leonid Sablin unexpectedly retired from his post on March 4.
