In a meeting with FIFA representatives this week, Prime Minister Vladimir Putin said he would guarantee that all guests and participants would be granted visa-free travel into the country. Russia is applying to host the 2018 or the 2022 World Cup which is planned held in the cities of Moscow, Sankt Petersburg, Sochi and Kazan. Another ten countries are bidding for the games. A decision in the issue will be made by FIFA on 2 December, RIA Novosti reports.
