Commenting on today’s breakthrough after 40 years of negotiations, President Medvedev told news agency PRIME-TASS that he believes the agreement will be followed by the need for cooperation on development of resources in the area. –The best way and a fully practical result would be to establish joint ventures for development of fields, he said.
The Russian President said to the news agency that he already had told Norway’s Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg about his thoughts on future cooperation on exploitation of the resources in the area.
